Stomach trouble anyone?? (what a lovely pic)

Now I as much as anyone ( a waitress of many years) particularly used to hate those folk that wandered into a restaurant only to say they can’t eat anything form meat to gluten to milk they need to know what’s in every sauce etc etc.

However since October last year I have through no fault of my own or understanding of any doctors I have previously seen became one of these people.  Then so began the hatred of my once enjoyed night out to dinner.  I don’t like being that fussy and some staff can make a bigger fuss than you about it, this then ensues snarky looks form the chefs and other clientèle!

But alas there is always good news to be found on my blog!

Here leis the secret to avoiding upset waiting staff and cooks and ending up with nothing but chips (that you have checked aren't dusted in flour) on your plate.

I can imagine many of you have used the genius before, however I always thought this was a site to moan if you didn't enjoy but it’s not! Its full of wonderful recommendations for the fussy or not so fussy stomach.

Follow this link for one of my favourite places in Glasgow, I highly recommend it and if you’re not in Glasgow ,follow this link to their main site this site covers most of Europe and is handy for lots of things.

A great app I have found is called, find me gluten free this allows you to not only check on the gluten content of food in supermarkets but allows you find restaurants that cater to the allergy. The good news is that the app is supported both on iphone and Android :)

Its very simple just pop a request into Google and watch as the amazing world of the internet explode with options and choices for every health freak, fast food, intolerant food lover out there!

Body Morphia?

So today I decided to add to my growing tattoo collection, anyone who enjoys this process knows the love of the sound the machine makes. This decision has been met with mixed reviews. There have been many who I feel couldn't quite say what they wanted, this I imagine would have been a loud slow motion NOOOOOO!! That reaction however is not sitting well with me. I ponder as to what the problem is. Surely a woman in her thirties has the right to be given the respect that she is in control of her decisions and body and shouldn't be judged on how these decisions are acted out. Whilst in my twenties this would have probably been put down to a phase in which I was trying to be experimental and fun there appears to be a pressure after 30 to suit up if you will (thanks Barney) and become boring.

In my younger years however I started to get tattoos after inhaling large amounts of alcohol (I’m sure many will relate) thinking that a butterfly somehow related to a freedom of some sort now I realise it was actually a great way of restricting what clothes I wear as I permanently try to hide it. Nowadays I go to one tattoo artist I decide what I want and spend a year thinking about it, talk over the design and enjoy the process of permanently marking my body. Another reaction is one of how will these tattoos effect my job prospects, well at my age if your still a student its maybe not at the top of agenda (ha-ha). My say is that it’s my body my life my decision and after all surely now that I’m getting old its ok to cover up that old lady skin with something prettier and easier on the eye. That’s the truth of the matter I’m just thinking about everyone else ;)!! Tattoo artists should be respected and revered especially talented ones. I have attached a link to the studio I attend.
