So I decided that after all of my
caterwauling I should try and be helpful, if this old dog can use these tricks
to make my blog look all like I know what the it is I am talking about then I
should defo share the wealth!!
So I have decided since I now know how to create a hyperlink (imagine a cat that got the cream look here) I'm giving back, so prepare to be amazed, educated or bored.
So here is how it works, imagine
you are writing about some nice bar (we like bars) and you want to share the
bars website with some friends in your blog. Your sentence would be
something like….
This bar is amazing, happy hour
still exists, check this out!!
Now the trick is to get the
underlined this to be highlighted and when pressed it will take you on a direct
link to the bars website. Not brain surgery but pretty up there as a new
skill I’m glad to know!
Anyway moving on….here’s the hard
part!
1. You want to highlight the word you
want to link up
2. Then in the blogger menu above where
you are writing your post you want to click the link button.
3. A pop up window will appear, there
will be a box at the top it will say edit link, under that it will ask what
text to display, in our case it’s the word THIS, you then in the link it to box
type the bars web address.
4. At this point you want to click the
button that allows it to be opened in a new window (so it people don’t go away
from yours)
5. Press ok and sit back and feel smug,
you’re a hyperlinker!!
